Having the option to vacuum grip the drums on the top surface cannot always be achieved due to the fact of the drum design, oil on the gripping surface or even the product inside the drum causing corrosion of the suction pad and rubber seal. Therefore, the alternative is to use a pneumatically operated gripping unit attached to a vacuum lifting system to lift the drums.
